Overture

We are in the Overture of my greatest Symphony
my Magnum Opus
in the opening motive
and I've lived so much life
air rushing to the bell
bursting gold love forth;
Taken in fully, juices running down those fullest bites,
Deliciously wickedly ripened in the copper sun.
You take hallowed steps onto hollow stage
I feel your coming with every vibration;
a sea of feet stamp a muted rainstorm
and I
your first chosen
bowed and arched
to play my most secret sweetest song,
satin ribbons of music
for you only
to wrap round
your soul
in front of the watching world
